How much can you earn from Survey Jobs ?

This is a very tough question to answer. There are several factors which acts together, as far as income from survey job is concerned. The factors are:

1. The number of survey companies you joined.
2. The number of survey job they send you.
3. The payment for each survey job they offer.
4. The number of survey work you actually do.

I came across many sites where people claim that they do survey job wholetime.

Why am I barred from surveys of all kind?

Sometimes, we are barred from survey jobs of certain kinds. We fail to understand why we have been barred from the survey just after answering a few queries. There are different reasons for this. I will try to explain some of those:

Region / Country Based Survey Jobs

The survey companies does survey on products / services on local basis, region basis and country wise. If a company wants to know the sales prospect of a product in USA, then the survey will be done in USA only. Getting market survey done throughout the world is unnecessary in this case. So all surveys are not meant for all.

Targeted Survey Jobs

Survey companies targets a particular country, region, age groups, income groups etc. for their survey jobs.

If the survey company is doing a survey on a very high priced, highly sophisticated luxury car, they will try to concentrate and focus on the high income group of people. If you are not in that income group, your survey job may be cut short in the middle with a polite thank.

Likewise, if a pen company conducts a market survey on their new product, they will focus on the student group and the young professionals. The age group will come into play in this case.

These are the reason why you are barred sometimes to take the full survey job.

I will try to give you some idea on this.
Suppose, a market survey company is conducting survey job on television sets.

The probable questions on the survey will be like :

First, About Yourself – your sex, your age, your profession, your income etc.

Then, the following questions may come :-

Question 1. Do you have a TV at home
Answers: 1. Yes 2. No
Multiple answers (click on one)

Question 2. How many TV do you have in your home
Answers: 1. One 2. Two 3. Three 4. Four

Question 3. Do you have a TV at your office / work place.
Answers: 1. Yes 2. No

Note : If you answer NO, probably you will be asked no further questions and your survey on TV will be over. If the intention of the survey company is to know how many new TVs will be bought by the public in near future, they got your answer. There is no need to query you more since you answered in negetive.

Answer: 1. LCD 2.Plasma 3. LED 4. 3D

Question 7. What is the size of the TV that you will buy?
